- Long Island Action
This training will share best practices for reaching out to individuals in your community, and listening to their concerns. Let's bring people together around shared issues, and help get out the vote! Taught by Bryan Erwin of TASC, or Taking Action for Suffolk County. TASC is an Independent Expenditure Political Organization dedicated to building a progressive political infrastructure in Suffolk County.
Bryan Erwin was born and raised in Aquebogue and is a 3rd generation RHS alumnus (it would have been 4 generations if his great-grandfather made it out of the 8th grade.) Bryan worked for Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle on his Leadership staff for most of the 90's and was in the Senior Executive Service for President Obama working on creating export-led jobs from 2010-2014.
Bryan is also Chairman of the Long Island State Parks Commission, is on the Board of Hallockville Historic Farm and is an adjunct professor at the George Washington University. He lives with his wife Danielle and two daughters in Mattituck.
